Royal College Colombo took home the 75th Bradby Shield despite the astounding victory secured by Trinity College, Kandy in the second leg held today (June 15) at the Royal College grounds. The highlight of rugby games played between schools; the Bradby Shield consists of two legs. The first leg which was played in Pallekele, Kandy recently saw Royal College, Colombo scoring a victory of 34-17. At the end of the first half of the second leg today, Trinity remained ahead of the game with a score of 12-3 while another 12 points were collected in the second half with Royal College scoring 10 points. Although the Trinity team won the second leg with a score of 24-13, the Bradby shield belongs to the team who remains ahead in both rounds. While the Royalists had scored 47 points, Trinity College had managed to score only 41 points at the end of both legs. Thereby the Royalists took home the Bradby shield for the 34th time.
